Rufai Delighted as Nwabali Solves Eagles’ Goalkeeping Issue
Former Nigerian international, Peter Rufai, expresses his joy over Stanley Nwabali’s resolution of the country’s goalkeeping dilemma following his outstanding performance at the recently concluded 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Nwabali’s exceptional displays were instrumental in Nigeria’s journey to the tournament final, earning praise from Rufai, a former Super Eagles goalkeeper, who commended the Chippa United star’s contributions.
In an interview with TVC News Nigeria, the 1994 AFCON winner stated that he was impressed with Nwabali’s overall command of the goal during the first game against Equatorial Guinea. Rufai emphasized that Nwabali’s performance in that match reassured him that Nigeria had found a solution to its goalkeeping challenges.
