Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has confidently declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will outmaneuver the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming 2026 Osun State election and 2027 Oyo State election.

Speaking in Osogbo during the inauguration of the dual carriage road connecting Stadium Roundabout, Oke Baale Roundabout, and Ilesa Garage Roundabout, Makinde criticized APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, for his assertion that the APC would capture both states by 2027.

Makinde praised Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, for delivering on his electoral promises and prioritizing public-oriented projects. He lauded Adeleke’s completion of inherited projects, including the inaugurated road, and encouraged the people of Osun to re-elect him for a second term.

Makinde emphasized, “This is not about propaganda or misleading data. Governor Adeleke’s leadership is evident in the visible impact of his projects and policies on the people.”

Makinde also affirmed the PDP’s pro-people agenda, stating, “In Oyo and Osun, we are the real progressives, prioritizing transparency and the well-being of our people.”

Governor Adeleke, in his remarks, expressed gratitude to Makinde and reiterated his administration’s commitment to delivering tangible dividends of democracy. He urged residents to use the new infrastructure responsibly and adhere to safety measures.

The event served as a rallying point for the PDP, showcasing its commitment to governance centered on accountability, inclusivity, and development in the South-West.
