Noble Corporation has announced a contract extension for its drillship, Noble Gerry de Souza, offshore Nigeria. The extension, awarded by TotalEnergies, spans nine months, maintaining the drillship’s presence in the region until November of this year. The Noble Gerry de Souza began its contract with TotalEnergies in February of the previous year. The dayrates for the extended contract were not disclosed. Noble Corporation has experienced a robust financial performance, reporting $482 million in net profit for 2023. With more than $500 million in new contracts since November, the company’s backlog now stands at approximately $4.6 billion.
