During the Mawlid Nabiyy organized by the Aljamahatul Qadiriyyah Islamic Movement in Lagos, speakers urged Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. Chief Missioner/Founder of Al-Abrar Foundation, Sheikh Adam Muhammad Raji Adebayo, emphasized the importance of returning to Allah as a solution to the current hardships in the country. He called for seeking forgiveness from Allah and urged Muslims to emulate the Prophet in their actions. The Chief Host and Khalifah Qadiriyyah Lagos, Sheikh Soliu Jamiu Amasa, highlighted the role citizens play in addressing hardships and emphasized the need for prayers and support for leaders. Former Chairman of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Alhaji Kashim Imam, commended the movement for its activities promoting peace and development. Lagos State Commissioner for Home Affairs, Ibrahim Layode, acknowledged the group’s efforts and pledged continued support from the state government. Chief Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, Iyaloja General of Lagos State and President Bola Tinubu’s daughter, was decorated with a turban as Iya Adinni of Qadiriyyah in Nigeria and Africa for her contributions to Islam. She urged Nigerians to exercise patience and keep hope alive. The grand Khalifa of Tijaniyya for Lagos State, Sheikh Aminullah Abd’Salam Akoshile, acknowledged the hardships as a test from Allah, calling for patience and prayers for leaders and the country.
