The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has issued a warning to the public regarding fraudulent recruitment messages circulating about positions in the commission’s medical team and corporate organization for the 2024 Hajj exercise.In a press statement released by Fatima Sanda Usara, Assistant Director of Public Affairs at NAHCON, the commission cautioned against falling victim to misinformation and scam attempts. Usara emphasized that NAHCON is not currently conducting any recruitment and urged individuals to exercise caution.The statement clarified that any communication claiming recruitment for full-time positions or ad-hoc committee roles within NAHCON is false. Additionally, it reiterated that the legitimate application process for the Hajj medical team is conducted exclusively through the official NAHCON portal.NAHCON stressed that it does not request money from applicants during the recruitment process, as the application is free. The commission advised the public to be vigilant and disregard any unofficial communication channels, warning against potential scams targeting unsuspecting individuals.
